Today is a good day to have a good day.

Our theme for the 2026-27 school year. Let’s stack some good days.

A GOOD DAYA GOOD WEEKA GOOD MONTHA GOOD YEAR

That sentence is our theme this year, and it is not just a poster. Stack enough good days and you get a good week. Stack enough good weeks and you get a good month. Stack enough good months and you get a great year.

A good day means thinking hard about something new, the good kind of hard, living out our values, and feeling like you belong here.

That is what your teachers are working on, in every class, for every one of you. See how we live it out on our Culture & Discipline page.

Our Community Agreements

These are the 5 ways we all agree to treat each other at ECMS-Gardena:

Active Listening

Really listening when someone else is talking. Eyes follow the speaker, ears open, mouth closed.

Mutual Respect

Valuing each person’s special qualities and differences, and giving feedback that helps others grow.

Appreciation / No Put-Downs

Noticing and saying nice things about people’s strengths — not hurtful words, gestures, or actions.

Mindfulness

Paying attention on purpose to what’s happening right now, without jumping to conclusions.

Right to Pass, Right to Participate

It’s okay to choose not to join in some activities, but everyone is expected to complete classwork and contribute to discussions.
