Due to the COVID-19 crisis, we know that many children have lost the security of the healthy meals provided at school each day. On April 24th, the USDA approved the P-EBT card for all families that qualify for free or reduced meals at school. Families already approved for the NSLP are eligible for up to $365 per child as part of this program.
All applications for the Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer card must be completed online by June 30, 2020

Families who receive benefits through CalFresh, CalWORKs, Medi-Cal, or Foster Care do not need to apply for the P-EBT and should have already received their cards by mail. If you have concerns that your address on file with the CDSS is incorrect, please call the P-EBT helpline on 833-780-0353.
Families who are not recipients of these government programs, but have been approved for free or reduced meals through the NSLP application process can apply for their P-EBT card now! The online application is simple and confidential.
Please note that the P-EBT card will arrive in the name of your oldest child – not in the parent’s name.
