Thank you to every family, neighbor, and friend who came out for the 3rd Annual ECHS Family Cookout on Saturday, September 19.
The cookout is how ECHS – Lawndale opens its doors to the wider community each year, celebrating Black culture, building awareness, and bringing neighbors onto campus. Good food, music, games, arts and crafts, and a free farmers market.

Our thanks to the staff, students, and volunteers who planned and ran the day, and to the community partners who donated time, food, and supplies. An event this size only works because a lot of people show up early and stay late.
We look forward to seeing everyone at the 4th Annual cookout next year.
