Roxanne Solomita is the lead counselor at Environmental Charter High School Lawndale. This is Roxanne’s 6th year counseling and she previously taught College Prep 10 and Senior Seminar at ECHS-L. She works closely with our seniors each year to facilitate their college and financial aid application processes while also leading initiatives to improve students’ mental health.
Roxanne is passionate about removing barriers for students who want to attend college but may not otherwise have the resources. Her values and practices align directly with the ECS mission and our goal to support low-income students of color to cultivate the skills they need to graduate from college. Roxanne specializes in social, emotional and academic counseling for students in need of guidance and individually with students in crisis. She strives to be a valuable resource to all students and provide them with the tools to find success in the capacity with which they are comfortable.
Roxanne has earned a BA in Sociology, a MA in Counseling, and a PPS Credential from Loyola Marymount University. She also has a MA in Educational Leadership from High Tech High’s Graduate School of Education.
