Lacey Harris is the Dean of Student Services at ECHS Gardena and excited to work and grow with this community of amazing educators, students, and families! She has been part of the ECS Family since 2011 as the Founding School Counselor at ECMS Inglewood and then ECMS Gardena focusing on college readiness, social-emotional development, and promoting a positive school culture. There, she established the EmpowHer and Male Success Alliance programs for students, creating community mentorship.
Lacey went on to work at ECHS Lawndale where she continued to develop her passion for supporting first-generation students from underserved communities find their path. The goal is not just to graduate from high school, but to have the skills and knowledge to succeed in college and beyond. She also served as the Head Softball Coach and started clubs for students who wanted to take on leadership positions or promote their diverse cultural histories on campus . In 2020, Lacey was nominated for the School Counselor of the Year Award by LACOE!
She is committed to social justice equity-driven work, empowering students to recognize their potential, so they too can see themselves as agents of change. Lacey is currently completing her 2nd Masters in Education with a P.P.S Credential to continue growing as a leader. Lacey is from San Diego, CA, the oldest of 4 siblings (only girl, too), and is a lover of all things travel, tacos, and coffee!
