Charity Rock is a dedicated educator who prioritizes data-driven instruction, proven practices, and increasing student awareness. She is a strong advocate for both students and teachers, drawing on her prior experience as a mathematics teacher, math department head, and curriculum implementation specialist. Currently serving as the Secondary Math Specialist at Environmental Charter Schools, Charity is committed to preparing students for the ever-changing world. Recognizing the importance of cultivating students’ mathematical reasoning skills, Charity believes in providing them with opportunities to struggle productively, explain their thinking, and critique the reasoning of others. She collaborates closely with the Chief Academic Officer, ECS Math Coaches, and Math Teachers to support student success through data analysis, collaborative planning and co-teaching. Charity earned her BA in Economics from the University of California-Irvine and holds a Masters Degree in Education, as well as a Teaching Credential with an emphasis in Mathematics and Multicultural Learners. Her dedication to education has been recognized through honors such as a Distinguished Educator ranking and Teacher of the Year award.
