ECS is thrilled to continue our partnership with Patrick Carroll (shown above tending his home garden), Managing Partner at TCIGPacific Insurance Services
Patrick grew up in a multi-generational agricultural family in Ventura County where he learned many of the basic skills that developed into his passion for home gardening and urban farming. As a college student living in Culver City, Patrick used his spare time to grow plants on the balcony of his apartment. This later expanded into 1000 square feet of organic vegetable beds and 14 fruit trees in his backyard at his current home in Westlake Village. Every morning, Patrick walks through his garden before heading to work so he knows that ingredients he has available for dinner that night.
ECS truly believes that living campuses bring learning to life and model sustainable practices. Patrick continuously supports ECS because our best practices and his fall right in line with one another.
As the Managing Partner at TCIGPacific Insurance Services Patrick and his team have been working with ECS for over 12 years managing our employee benefits program. We were the first charter school that his company worked with; TCIG specializes in employee benefits for non-profits and all types of creative firms and entrepreneurial businesses, including 20 charter schools and other educational organizations.
It has been an absolute pleasure partnering with Patrick Carroll because of his personal passion for teaching others the tricks of the trade for home gardening. His company has donated funding for the ECS garden program, along with a large supply of seeds and a PH meter for soil testing. In his spare time, he enjoys teaching a 4-hour seminar about how to create personal food gardens to people of our local community. Thank you for sharing your sustainable lifestyle – and passionate skills – to help us better our community, Patrick!
