Here are the dates ECHS-Gardena families should have on the calendar this month.
No school Monday, October 12
October 12 is a teacher planning day, so there are no classes for students. October 22 and 23 are both minimum days for parent conferences, which means early dismissal.
Dates to know
- Wednesday, October 7 – Progress reports are handed out during advisory. Watch for yours coming home.
- Thursday, October 8 – Honor Roll Celebration during advisory. 10th and 11th grade at 2:10 p.m., 12th grade at 3:00 p.m.
- Friday, October 9 – End of Quarter 1.
- Monday, October 12 – No school. Teacher planning day.
- Thursday, October 15 – Great California ShakeOut earthquake drill at 10:15 a.m. Students practice drop, cover, and hold on. No action is needed from families.
- Thursday, October 15 – Fiesta de Colores at 2:00 p.m.
- Monday, October 19 – Makeup Picture Day for students who missed picture day in September.
- Thursday and Friday, October 22–23 – Parent conferences. Both days are minimum days.
Parent conferences
Conferences are held on Thursday, October 22 and Friday, October 23. Both days are minimum days, so students are dismissed early. Your student’s advisor will share scheduling details.
