Nov. 3rd is election day & we encourage everyone to cast their vote if they haven’t already done so. In order to facilitate families’ plans to vote, we have made this an asynchronous day for students.
Students will be required to attend advisory for attendance and to participate in a discussion pertaining to this topic. They will then work independently for the remainder of the school day.
Consider having your middle schooler accompany you to the polls. (with face covering, hand sanitizer, and a plan for social distancing.) Election day presents an opportunity to share this experience with them in an effort to create a “teachable” moment.
