Rayhaneh is also drawn to ECS’ mission to teach students about self advocacy, social awareness and sustainability. She is extremely passionate about teaching others the importance of being environmentally conscious and has started a recycling program for two other organizations that she previously worked for.
In her spare time, Rayhaneh likes to garden, write, watch movies, and attend concerts. She grew up playing basketball and has coached both boys and girls teams at the high school level. She is a huge foodie and is always looking for new restaurants to try. One of her favorite quotes is by UCLA basketball coach John Wooden. “Things turn out best for the people who make the best of the way things turn out.”
