Roxanne Solomita is the 10th grade College Prep teacher. Holding a Masters in Counseling, she utilizes these skills in the classroom and has worked with ECHS seniors to support them on their college application process. Roxanne specializes in social, emotional and academic counseling for students in need of guidance and individually with students in crisis. She strives to be a valuable resource to all students and provide them with the tools to find success in the capacity with which they are comfortable.
Roxanne was drawn to Environmental Charter Schools because of its commitment to each individual student. She appreciates the environmentally-conscious climate and the progressive nature of the ECS community as a whole. With international and local experience, Roxanne is committed to being an advocate for social justice in her own community and beyond.
Roxanne graduated from Loyola Marymount University’s School of Education with an MA in Mental Health/School Counseling and acquired a Pupil Personnel Services credential (PPS). During her time at LMU, Roxanne volunteered at the Mar Vista Family Center as a dance instructor and tutor/mentor for the children in the community. Additionally, she was able to travel to Ecuador for a multicultural counseling service experience which continued to inspire her desire to be culturally educated and work with diverse populations.
