Jessica’s key areas of expertise are in community college planning, social-emotional well-being, along with personal development. As the College Prep teacher, she strives to support students’ transition between middle school to high school, focus on their personal development in young adulthood, and support the Counseling Department through virtual counseling. Jessica has 2 ½ years of experience in Academic Counseling at the Community College level, and three years of experience in the K-12 field in Koreatown, South Los Angeles, and Compton areas. She was previously a Career Guidance and Counseling Success Coach at Los Angeles City College, and currently works as a Counseling Instructor at Los Angeles City College.

Jessica is very familiar with Environmental Charter Schools because she is an alumni of Environmental Charter High School (ECHS). As ECHS is her alma mater, she is drawn to the social justice and environmental focus.

Jessica attended Dickinson College via the Posse Scholarship and graduated with a B.A. in Psychology and Spanish Literature. She earned her graduate degree from Loyola Marymount University with a M.A. in Counseling with her Pupil Personnel Services credential, and her Licensed Professional Clinical Counseling requirements.

She loves horror, sci-fi, anime, and Pixar films. Her passions are gardening, being outside, mixing it up, and learning how to make new nail polish designs.
