Javier Flores is the Assistant Principal of Instruction.  He has worked for charter schools for over ten years in multiple capacities.  A major part of his educational career was spent teaching English in Watts.  He piloted a dual language program to support English Language Learners and became the CAASPP coordinator as the 11th grade English teacher.  As an ECS school leader, he is now spearheading many of the buckets that he values.  Being part of ECHSG, founding school, has allowed him to spearhead many instructional programs:  EL and school-wide programs.  This work is ever changing and learning is continuous.  He participates in many of the org-wide priorities coupled with outside development to better himself as a school leader.     


Javier Flores was raised in Compton and Lynwood and attended Cal State University Dominguez Hills, CSUDH, for all of his academic degrees and credentials.  He majored in English education, BA, and minored in Communications.  He holds a fully cleared English credential.  After 6 years of teaching, He was accepted to the CASLA program at CSUDH and earned a Masters in Educational Leadership coupled with a preliminary administrative credential, which is now cleared.
