Denise Berger collaborates with leaders on sophisticated social responsibility initiatives, strategic planning, organizational development, and multi-stakeholder collaboration in order to optimize individual contribution and team involvement, innovation and impact. Her vision is for people to find their personal significance, reach their full potential, and lead in life with integrity, intelligence, and an ongoing learning orientation that allows them to give it forward.
She holds a Doctor of Education from Pepperdine University in organizational leadership, and completed her dissertation on corporate social responsibility. In her dissertation, Doing it the Right Way, she identified the leading American Fortune 500 global corporations and analyzed why and how they do “itCSR” – a sophisticated level of CSR that represents a more ideal corporate contribution to society and produces meaningful triple bottom line impact.
Prior to her doctorate, she was a Managing Director at Aon Risk Services, a global insurance broker and consultant. In this role, she successfully ran the East Coast operations of the global business unit, which handled the multinational risk management needs overseas of Fortune 500 companies. Denise successfully developed a team of 40 geographically-dispersed professionals, setting best practices for the global practice as a whole, and meeting retention and double-digit growth goals year-on-year. She was part of EXCELerate, a program focused on developing the top 50 women globally, and went on to lead the Women’s International Network (WIN) worldwide chapters. Denise also authored articles on career and workforce opportunities. She has been a mentor to young professionals and a coach for social entrepreneurs participating in LA Social Venture Partners’ Fast Pitch. Denise Berger received her MBA from Fordham University with Beta Gamma Sigma high honors and her BA from Colgate University.
