
Remco Waller is born in the Netherlands and is a seasoned global executive with more than 30 years’ experience in industry leading manufacturing, retail, consumer goods and commercial real estate companies including senior roles in Europe, USA and Asia (China and Korea) on both CFO & CEO roles and is currently an advisor and Board member of MGM Transformers after leading a successful recapitalization of the business in 2023 to accelerate further growth. His first 23 years of his career he worked for Unilever & Tesco.
He relocated with his family to Los Angeles (Manhattan Beach) in 2006 to take on the role as the CFO for Fresh & Easy Neighborhood markets -at that time a subsidiary of Tesco from the UK – to start the grocery chain.
He has been serving on the Board (including President) of the Manhattan Beach Education Foundation since 2013 and have been many years a cabinet member for United Way Los Angeles. He is currently also involved in Dignity Moves in California to provide homeless solutions, Environmental Charter Schools in Gardena, Bresee in Los Angeles, Community in Schools in Los Angeles and the Automobile Driving Museum in El Segundo.
During his international assignments, he has been active as director in several Chambers of Commerce, the LA County Economic Development Cooperation, CFO forums and International School boards.
He holds a master’s in business economics from the Erasmus University of Rotterdam, the Netherlands and a Post-Graduate Controller degree of the Vrije University of Amsterdam.
Remco and his wife Mariel (also from the Netherlands) have three children – they all graduated or are in college in California. In his free time he loves all racket sports, hiking, biking and skiing and is a passionate world traveler.
