Dominic Renz has been the Art Teacher at ECHS-Lawndale since 2022. Dominic teaches Art9 which is an entry-level Art class for freshmen and an Advanced Art class which is an elective for juniors and seniors. Previously Dominic has worked in a variety of educational environments as an Art Studio Tech at Seattle Pacific University, Para-educator, and Substitute teacher for several school districts in Southern California.
Dominic is at ECHS because of its commitment to reimage public education in innovative and student-focused ways. Dominic has a passion for the environment and for supporting young people in developing as creative and independent thinkers which makes ECHS a good fit for him
Dominic holds his Bachelor of Arts: in Studio Art from Seattle Pacific University
His Single Subject Teaching Credential in Art and Master of Arts in Education from Azusa Pacific University
When not teaching, Dominic spends time making his own art, focusing on printmaking and painting in his home studio. With a love for the outdoors, Dominic and his wife Tailor often spend their weekends hiking, camping, and gardening.
