Bethany Sanabria

Bethany Sanabria teaches 12th grade English at Environmental Charter High School. While her greatest interest has always been literature, in her journey to become an English teacher she became very invested in how technology is integrated into education to better prepare all students to be successful in today’s society. Prior to joining the ECHS team Bethany worked for Apple as a Workshop Facilitator where she taught people of all ages to use technology to improve their businesses, passions, and lives. She was also the Blended Learning Coordinator for an elementary school where she implemented a school-wide technology program that gave students individual access to computers, and integrated the use of computers into math and reading instruction on a daily basis.

Bethany is excited to bring her unique skill set to ECHS because while she loves literature, language, technology, and communication she is above all passionate about social justice and the ability of quality education to shape communities and lives for the better.

Bethany graduated from Cal State Long Beach twice, first with her BA in English in 2012 and again with her Masters in English in 2015. During her free time Bethany loves doing yoga, going to the movies, reading, binge watching Netflix, and playing with her cat, Scratchy. Her favorite book is Beloved by Toni Morrison.
