Kristin Golden joined Environmental Charters Middle School-Inglewood as the ELD Coordinator in 2021.  Kristin’s key areas of expertise or responsibilities in this role include supporting English language learners, helping parents get involved with the ELD program, and administering the ELPAC for EL students to help them reclassify.  Kristin has 15 years of experience in teaching ESL and English at both the secondary and post-secondary levels.  Previously, she was the EL Specialist at Opportunities for Learning Public Charter Schools in Los Angeles.  

Kristin is at ECS because she is passionate about working in a diverse community dedicated to helping students achieve new levels of success.  Kristin is a graduate of UCSB and holds a B.A. in English. She earned a Masters in English and TESL from Cal Poly, Pomona.  She also earned a single subject credential in English from San Jose State University. She also taught English in Japan for 2 years. Kristin is a native of San Dimas, CA. She is passionate about travel and has traveled to every continent except Antarctica.
