Cynthia Baran has been at ECHS since before the library opened and her hands have touched every single one of the 13,000+ books on the shelves. In addition to her library and testing duties, she has been dubbed the “senior thesis queen.” Before she got to ECHS she had worked in libraries for UC Berkeley, The Getty Institute, and the county and city of Los Angeles.
Ms Baran grew up in the Southbay and is thrilled to be working, and trying to make a difference in her own community. When she’s not at school or reading, you can find her cutting a rug on the dance floor, cooking a Sunday dinner or watching old movies with her husband and rescued cat, Zelda.
